BANDS
The following is for bands and projects that I have been involved in over the years (including current projects). Very little of it was actually recorded at Double D. Some of the studios that were used include Danger Multitrack in Providence ("Yo, Joe!!"), Normandy Sound in Warren, RI, Soundtracks in Boston and NYC, and others.
Corvairs is a "Rock & Roll Revue" performing music from the 50's through the 80's, and features Bob Lynch on guitar, "Downtown" Rich Brown on bass and Ilene "Sticks" Corvini on drums.

Corvairs
The Shoe is a function band that I fill in with from time to time and features Jeff Gilman and Justin Beech of Two Ton Shoe fame.
PT 73
Here are some mp3 files of previously recorded material from our two CD's:
After All -Strangely enough, this is based on a Steven Wright comedy skit
Sylvia's Mother - Lyrics by Shel Silverstein (yes, EvilEye Music, we have permission for this one).
Unlucky Willie - poor bastard.
Midnight Sun - in celebration of Norway (the country)

Once upon a time, there were four young lads named Pat, Tony, Paul, and Jamie (L to R).

They wanted to be rock stars. So, they decided to start a band. Tony played drums, Jamie played guitar, Paul played bass and Pat played keyboards. Everybody sang (sort of). They had an idea. Maybe four white kids from the suburbs could make dance-rock, get signed, make millions and live happily ever after. It didn't work, but they had an awful lot of fun trying. They had another idea ... make everything a double entendre. So, they named their band the Drive, their record company Thrust, and their publishing company Pump! They told Tony to play the bass drum on 1-2-3-4, like a primitive mating percussionist, they played songs like "Big 10-inch" and "Jack U Off". They made records (remember them?), they dressed weird,
(hey, it was the 80's),
they made videos (Doin' the) Countdown (remember when MTV played music?), and it still didn't work. But they had even more fun. But they were all happily married, so no one had THAT much fun. Were they any good? You tell me.
How Much (Does It Mean To You)
On November 6, 2005, The Drive participated in a reunion of the Boston bands from the 80's who played at Bunratty's. A good time was had by all.

Haywire
Joe Moody - Danger Multitrack Studio, Providence, RI
A decade before the millenium, I collaborated with Joe Moody for some of the darkest, most psychotic music I've ever written. Granted, this was probably a precursor to my first mid-life crisis, and a last-ditch effort at fame and fortune. Surprisingly, no record company was interested. But it did receive a whole lot of local airplay on 94-WHJY out of Providence and was featured on a local compilation series called Digital Graffiti. The band that resulted from these sessions actually played live at Bunratty's in Allston, MA, and at the Beachcomber in Quincy, MA, where it opened for Charlie Farren. Then Haywire disintegrated. How appropos.
There were many late-night sessions (that I remember). Joe locked himself in the control room for a week with his guitar. The final musical result was disturbing ... yet satisfying. This was recorded at Danger Multitrack in Providence, RI.
Totally Out of Control - Thaaaaaaaaaaat's ME!!!
Blinded by My Life - panned guitar solo ... inspired
Tragic - where a stalker finds the perfect girlfriend
WHITE CAR
In 1989, Film student Michael Mongillo hired me and Tony Paolino to write and produce a soundtrack for White Car, Michael's first endeavor. This project yielded 11 songs, and the film quickly faded into obscurity. Here are a few of the musical results.
White Car - title track (duh) - features David Weden, of Vice Grips fame, on guitars.
Cacophony in 5 - me on drums, Joe Moody on guitar
Rain / After the Storm - Bill Benoit on bass, David Weden on acoustic guitar. I wish I had had a better piano back then, but I guess this one had some charm.
